Welcome to Cytek Revolution

Hi all,

This blog is the result of an idea I had the other night – After referring a few friends to Cytek shoes, and telling them to research them, I received comments stating that they actually couldn’t find anything positive on the internet about Cytek Shoes. Unless you went to the Cytek website, there was very very little positive media on Cytek (unless you knew where to look).

Quite frankly this annoys me, because it appears that people who only know half truths about the shoe, or have heard from someone, who heard from someone else, who knew of someone who once used the shoe, that they were evil, and completely unworkable – then get on the internet and factually inform others that the shoe is no good, going as far as to criticize and insult those of us who have actually gone out and given them a go. I hate that people who are trying to research the shoe, get turned off them, simply because the forums are filled with complete fiction.

The fact of the matter is – the Cytek shoeing system causes every farrier, every trimmer, every person who has ever confessed to being a professional hoof care provider, to question just what the hell it is they have been doing to horses feet for the last God knows how many years.

Not many people are prepared to sit there and admit “Gee, we could have been going about this the wrong way!”

How many horses suffering from Navicular, Ringbone, Laminitis, Wall cracks and Pedal bone rotations have you seen with heart bar shoes, and elaborate braces and putty or filler designed to pull the foot together? How many horses have you heard that have actually lost their lives because the owner has been told “there is nothing more you can do for this horse?”

The simple answer is – 99% of these horses died unnecessarily. There is a 100% garuanteed cure for every single one of the afflictions listed above.

And its this: Short toes and sole support. Get the toe off, support the foot, It doesn’t get easier than that. I will put money on the fact that most of a horses foot problems are due to long toes and an unbalanced trim.

My intention with this blog is to post success stories that I receive, with photos and in depth information – a positive and honest reflection of the Cytek Shoe and everything it has to offer.

If you are using the shoe, please send me your story. If you are considering using the shoe, then please stick around.

  1. Hi There !
We gor introudused to cytek a few years ago by our ferrier Joar Leirfall (we lives in Norway). To make the story short….now all of our 15 horses using cytek 🙂 and we are very pleased with them

  2. I have had my two horses shod with Cytek for over a year now. Very pleased with the results. Changed from barefoot after my pony was misdiagnosed with laminitis – fortunately a friend had recently been to a seminar on Cytek andwas very impressed so I thought I would give them a go.
I did some research before hand but found some of the, sometimes quite vicious, negative posts alarming but still went for it. I think this site is an excellent idea and I hope it flourishes

  3. Just as a tiny testimonial…

I’ve been on cytek shoes for a few months now and my horse (who was constantly lame before) hasn’t limped once since or suffered any ill effects.

    Give them a go, people.

  4. I have all three of my horse either shod in cytek shoes or they are trimmed in the cytek way. Before changing over to cyteks I had tried everything to improve my thoroughbreds feet. They were different shapes and sizes, I had tried epona plastic shoes which on the first fitting lasted half an hour and the farrier had to come back put to put it back on, not cheap when i had already paid out over £170 for the shoes and the glue, two types of putty, granules and glue gun and then shoeing charge on top of hat. With traditional Rocky would be lame for a week after shoeing and then I would be able to work him for four to five weeks if i was lucky enough for him to keep his shoes on that long. I was introduced to cyteks via a yard i moved to, I watched a couple of horses being changed over from traditional to cyteks, did research on the internet, talked to owners who had had their horses shod in them for a few years and made an informed decision to change my horses to the cytek way. Nearly two years later I have three happy horse, my old mare has regained the spring in her step and thinks she is a 4yr old again, My thoroughbred is no longer lame, his feet are nearly a matching pair and most important his is pain free after shoeing.

Since changing to cyteks I have recommended them to several people giving them factual information on how they have helped my horses and they have changed over also. I have had horses for 24 years now, I have also trained and worked with horses and until cyteks, I had never met a farrier who takes so much care and interest in my horses well being, also the amount of knowledge i have learnt from attending cytek lectures has been eye opening. I proudly recommend cyteks whenever possible. The cytek shoeing system is the closest thing to what nature intended for the horses hoof as you will get.

    Give them a go

  5. I started using Cytek shoes just over 7 years ago – After arguing with the farrier for about 2 hours I decided to give him and the shoes ago – I was so impressed with the results I trained and became a Cytek farrier and have been so for just over 5 years now. I would not put rim shoes on mine or any body else’s horses. There is simply no two ways about it, these shoes are the best thing that has happened for horses in a lot of years. It is just a shame that so many people only hear the negatives on them. I think this is mostly as a result of money, because if rim farriers and vets admitted the shoes can do what we all know they can they would not be able to charge the prices they charge. Also it would mean that all their training over the years was simply wrong.
